MODERN THEATRE DANCE I.S.T.D.
Modern dance classes for both boys and girls to learn how to dance modern.
Modern dance has a basis in ballet technique and teaches you a dance style that provides the basis for commercial, musical theatre and other modern dance types that are used in for work such as video clips, backing dancers, theatre shows and more.
AGE GROUPS
Children & teenagers from 5 – 19 years.
EQUIPMENT / DRESS CODE
No special equipment required.
We suggest wearing a leotards with leggings so that movements are comfortable and the teachers can see the body lines clearly. Barefoot is recommended. Hair to be in a ponytail or an hairstyle that takes the hair back off the face so as not to distract the pupils during class. No jewellery to be worn during lessons. ABOUT
The modern classes are taught from the I.S.T.D. (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) Modern Theatre syllabus. The I.S.T.D. is a British dance system recognized worldwide.
INDIVIDUALS / GROUPS
The modern classes are group classes.
MODERN DANCE LESSON PRICES
There is a registration fee of 10 euros for all new students. Prices for classes depend on whether it is a group or individual class and the dance style, please contact us for details. Special prices apply to families with more than one member attending classes at the dance school and individuals attending more than one dance class style. TEACHER
Yvette trained at Elmhurst Ballet School in England and has been a registered I.S.T.D. dance teacher since 1997. She has worked professionally as a dancer and taught dance for many years in both England and Greece.
