TAP DANCE CLASSES
Tap dance classes for both boys and girls from beginner to advanced level. Centre Dance is one of only a few dance schools in Greece that offer tap dance classes.
Tap dancing has its roots in America and is danced with taps shoes that had metal toe and heel taps. The emphasis is on the use of the feet mainly to beat out complex rhythms and promotes a high level of both musicality and understanding of rhythm.
AGE GROUPS
Children & teenagers from 6 – 19 years.
EQUIPMENT / DRESS CODE
No special equipment required.
We suggest a comfortable top, with ideally leggings on the lower half so that leg movements can be seen clearly by the teacher. Tap shoes are required, any shoe with a slippery/not grip sole (not trainers) can be used for a trial class. Hair to be in a ponytail or an hairstyle that takes the hair back off the face so as not to distract the pupils during class. No jewellery to be worn during lessons. ABOUT
The tap dance classes are taught from the I.S.T.D. (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) tap dance syllabus. The I.S.T.D. is a British dance system recognized worldwide.
INDIVIDUALS / GROUPS

TAP DANCE LESSON PRICES
There is a registration fee of 10 euros for all new students. Prices for classes depend on whether it is a group or individual class and the dance style, please contact us for details. Special prices apply to families with more than one member attending classes at the dance school and individuals attending more than one dance class style. TEACHER
Yvette trained at Elmhurst Ballet School in England and has been a registered I.S.T.D. dance teacher since 1997. She has worked professionally as a dancer and taught dance for many years in both England and Greece.
